Electronic Lien and Titling (ELT) Program

Simplify Your Title Management with CrossState Solutions

CrossState Solutions offers an Electronic Lien and Titling (ELT) program in partnership with Vitu’s Collateral Management Services (CMS). This solution facilitates seamless data exchange between lienholders and participating state departments of motor vehicles, ensuring compliance and efficient title management.

How ELT Works:

  1. Application Submission: Lien and title application is submitted to the state.
  2. State Processing: The state processes the application.
  3. Electronic Title Creation: An electronic title is generated, and the lien is assigned to the lienholder.
  4. Data Upload: Lien notification is received, and data is uploaded to Collateral Management Services.
  5. Account Matching: Title and account information are matched. Any discrepancies are noted in an exception report.
  6. Lien Release: Lien releases are requested electronically.

Our program is open to all credit unions actively engaged in vehicle financing. The states listed below have an active ELT program. Participation in the ELT program is mandatory in certain states (bolded below), while optional in others.
