Reports To:   CEO/President

Purpose:

Installs, maintains and monitors the organization’s network infrastructure, including switches, enterprise routers, servers, workstations, and network hardware and software. Recommend changes or upgrades or new products as a result of on-going administration of the network. Research and resolve network problems for end users. Install hardware and software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the credit union’s local area and wide area network hardware and software to ensure that backend functions, systems, PCs, servers and all peripheral products are operational.
  • Research and diagnose IT problems within the entire infrastructure; troubleshoot, and provide solutions.  Test solutions to ensure a correct solution.
  • Respond to user problems on PCs to include software applications, systems integration or individual hardware problems.  Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve the problem.
  • Provide individual support to end users via phone, in person, or instant messenger to answer questions or resolve problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, switches, routers, PCs, Laptops, printers, DVR camera systems, firewall and other network peripherals
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Exchange, domain controllers, TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMP, DNS, FTP and other protocols
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation and support services/warranties for new equipment, software, hardware and peripherals.
  • Install and test new software both for network and for individual users.
  • Maintain and support VOIP phone system and provide assistance to VOIP vendor
  • Responsible for repair of copiers, printers, PCs or laptops.
  • Install and support credit union Email on iPhone and Android mobile devices
  • Support the core processor and enter tickets into vendors ticketing system and provide follow up to ensure ticket is resolved
  • Support legacy AIX server by shutting down databases and rebooting server on a monthly basis including terminal server
  • Maintain ATM kiosk containing DVR, cameras and ISP router
  • Support intrusion detection system and resolve any network security events and monitor portal for network detection and response issues
  • Resolve issues on quarterly vulnerability scans and penetration tests
  • Keep abreast of state-of-the-art hardware and software developments.  Recommend new technologies that enhance the efficiency and security of the network infrastructure.
  • Negotiate contracts for the purchase, maintenance and support of internal data processing systems and the provision of external data processing systems.
  • Develop and control complete computer security and loss prevention.
  • Ensure technical support is provided to internal staff and Board Members in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
  • Ensure that equipment and online systems are efficient and appropriate to meet the department’s needs.
  • Keep CEO informed of department’s activities, needs and problems.
  • Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare, implement and supervise the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
  • Provide reports to CEO and Board and provide reports to NCUA examiners
  • Evaluate and purchase new technology and computer supplies
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call with weekends and after hours as needed

Experience:

  • Windows 10/11: 3 years
  • Networking: 3 years (Preferred)
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
