Job Title:          Business Development Officer

Job Location:    Carteret, NJ/Union County, NJ

Reports To:       President/CEO

Job Summary:  This position leads the management team in the development and implementation of a strategic, multi-faceted business development program designed to promote, retain and increase the Credit Union’s membership and visibility in the communities that we serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for serving credit union members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the credit union.
  • Develop opportunities to promote, retain and grow credit union membership.
  • Develop opportunities to promote, retain and increase credit union visibility in the communities that we serve.
  • Represent the credit union at local events and networking functions to help increase brand visibility.
  • Represent the credit union at educational events-seminars/presentations, promotional events, and local events.
  • Prospect new partnerships for the credit union through networking.
  • Propose, monitor and manage the success of the business development program.
  • Active participation in local Chamber of Commerce groups, Economic Development Corporations, and other local organizations.
  • May require nights/weekends.
  • Any other duty that may arise in the course of employment.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with personal computers.
  • Excellent telephone manners and techniques.   
  • Requires ability to work within deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
