North Jersey FCU Reignites Juntos Avanzamos Initiative—”Together We Advance”

Information provided by North Jersey FCU

On August 21, 2024–North Jersey Federal Credit Union (NJFCU) will host a signing ceremony with its sister credit unions from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. A memorandum of understanding will allow members of all three credit unions to conduct their financial transactions domestically and abroad as quickly and easily as possible.

Juntos Avanzamos means, “Together We Advance.” In that spirit, representatives from the Mexican, Dominican Republic, Colombian, Peruvian, and Ecuadorian consulates will attend. In this regard, the consulates will help their constituents to simplify their banking needs. For immigrants, banking has traditionally been a challenge, leaving them at a disadvantage. The Juntos Avanzamos initiative will allow them to deposit and withdraw funds; take out loans for homes, establish businesses, automobiles and personal finances; obtain credit cards; and establish lines of credit.

The celebration will take place at NJFCU headquarters on August 21, 2024 at 4:00 pm and is open to the public.
