NCFCU Celebrates Don Varner, Welcomes New CEO

NCFCU celebrates Don Varner’s 37 years of leadership and welcomes, Ron Ferrance as new President/CEO. On January 12, 1987, Don Varner joined the NCFCU team. Thirty-seven years, four months, and twenty-six days later, on June 7, 2024, Don retired, marking his final day and the beginning of his journey as the former CEO. We thank Don for his service, leadership, and incredible ability to manage financial performance. Don will be greatly missed.
Although a legacy has come to an end, NCFCU is thrilled to welcome our new CEO, Ron Ferrance!
Ron has more than 35 years of experience in Credit Unions and the financial industry, where he began as a teller and most recently served as CEO of Delaware State Police Federal Credit Union.
Ron is a strong believer in the credit union movement and intends to focus on serving the membership, promoting financial literacy, maintaining community involvement and political advocacy for credit unions.
Ron is a former Board Member of Cross State Credit Union Association and former Vice-President of the Spring Grove Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Lackawanna College, and now resides in Middlesex Township. Ron loves spending time with his two adult children, going to concerts, taking a good hike, vacationing at the beach, and traveling to see the world.
The NCFCU team looks forward to working under Ron’s leadership and achieving great things together. We couldn’t be more excited for the new possibilities and growth that Ron’s leadership will bring to our team. It is with great pleasure that we welcome Ron Ferrance as our new CEO!
