Greater Reading Reality Fair Committee Hosts Financial Reality Fair for Over 300 Students

On February 20, the Greater Reading Reality Fair Committee hosted a Financial Reality Fair at Governor Mifflin High School in Shillington, PA. The Fair had 350 participating students and had 30 volunteers from across the credit unions and community. 

Participating credit unions included, Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU), Visions FCU, Discovery FCU, Bellco FCU, Riverfront FCU, Diamond Credit Union, Sun FCU, Hidden River Credit Union, Lanco FCU, and Members 1st FCU. 

“Gratitude to Erica Wennell and the dedicated volunteers who bring the Reality Fair to life every year for our 11th grade students,” said a Governor Mifflin Teacher. “This event is a highlight of the school year, providing students with valuable lessons in financial literacy and essential life skills. We couldn’t do it without our business, community, and senior student volunteers.”
