Greater Reading Reality Fair Committee Financial Reality Fair Educates Over 400 Students 

On January 18, the Greater Reading Reality Fair Committee hosted a Financial Reality Fair at Muhlenberg High School in Muhlenberg, PA. The reality fair had 415 participating students and had 45 volunteers from across the credit unions and community. 

Participating credit unions included, Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU), Visions FCU, Discovery FCU, Bellco FCU, Riverfront FCU, Diamond Credit Union, Sun Federal Credit Union, Hidden River Credit Union, Lanco FCU, and Members 1st FCU. 

“The Greater Reading Reality Fair committee hosted its first financial reality fair of 2024 at Muhlenberg High School,” said Erica Wennell, Product Manager for UECU. “We enjoyed working with the students and helping them to understand the importance of budgeting. Many students said they liked the event because they got to walk around and talk to the credit union employees at the different stations.
