CU Reality Check Day Two Begins with Industry Trends, Financial Wellbeing, and AI

Day two of CU Reality Check kicked off this morning! Yesterday, attendees got to network with fellow credit union professionals at the Welcome Reception, and today we have a packed agenda.

This morning, Frank Diekmann got us started with an overview of industry trends, issues, and ideas for credit union leaders. Diekmann gave real-world experiences, on the ground practices, and advice from experts that attendees can take back to their credit unions.

Then, Edgar Hernandez from TruStage explained strategies for how to best serve the diverse experiences and needs of members with his presentation on financial wellbeing. Hernandez attempted to expose flaws in member engagement processes and posed important questions for attendees to consider. 

Before lunch, attendees heard from NCUA Supervisory Examiners Terrance Adam and Marcus Vander Wall about NCUA examination trends, cybersecurity breaches, AI, and more. 

This afternoon, attendees will hear from more subject matter experts on AI, succession planning, and payment strategies before heading to the cocktail reception, sponsored by TruStage.
