CrossState Members Represent NJ & PA at GAC Opening Ceremony, Hill Visits Start

America’s Credit Unions’ Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) kicked off in grand tradition at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., on Monday, March 3. Each year, the conference’s opening ceremony features representatives from every state carrying their respective flags, a powerful display of unity and advocacy within the credit union movement.
This year, CrossState had the distinct honor of being represented by outstanding leaders during this time-honored tradition. Jill Peterson, CrossState Vice Chair and CEO of EdiFi Credit Union, and Wendy Kingsland, Chair of the CrossState Board and CEO of Visionary Federal Credit Union, proudly carried the flags for New Jersey and Pennsylvania alongside Kevin Oswald, CrossState’s Government Relations Associate, and Christina Carden, CrossState’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Hill visits also began yesterday, with CrossState members visiting the offices of Rep. John Joyce (R-PA-13), Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA-9), House Ways and Means Committee member, Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-PA-11), Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-6), Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ-11) and others.

This afternoon, CrossState’s President & CEO will speak in the general session as AACUL Board Chair, emphasizing the strength of credit union leagues and their critical role in advocacy.
