Credit Unions Host Meet-and-Greets with Members of NJ Congressional Delegation
Last week, credit union leaders and CrossState hosted several meet-and-greets with members of New Jersey’s Congressional delegation. The meetings provided credit unions with the opportunity to discuss several legislative priorities. Some of these priorities included the negative impact of the Credit Card Competition Act, legislation that would cap credit card interchange, the Fed’s debit interchange proposal, the need for a national data security standard, the mischaracterization of junk fees, and the benefits of the credit union tax exempt status.
Credit unions also used the time to discuss how they are serving their members and advancing their communities. CrossState would like to thank Credit Union of New Jersey, Garden Savings FCU, and Greater Alliance FCU for hosting the Members of Congress.
These meetings are in advance of New Jersey’s June 4 primary. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Registered voters may find their polling location by clicking here.
