Celebrate 90 Years of Credit Union Excellence!

$19.34 PAC Challenge to Continue Our Success

Today is exactly 90 years since President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Federal Credit Union Act of 1934.

In signing this Act, Roosevelt enabled credit unions to be organized under charters approved by the federal government. While the landscape of consumer transactions has evolved with the advent of ATMs and mobile technology, the enduring essence of credit unions—their unique structure, unwavering mission, and steadfast philosophy—has endured, anchoring credit unions as pillars of stability within the financial domain.

Our success over the years has been contributed to the advocacy efforts of credit union staff, volunteers, and system partners. Whether it’s raising credit union awareness with policymakers or advancing legislation that will ensure credit unions have a healthy operating environment, your continued participation matters.

To build upon our success, CrossState challenges credit unions and their friends to make a PAC contribution of $19.34 in recognition of the Federal Credit Union Act’s signing in 1934. Your PAC contribution will be used to support candidates that value our legislative priorities and credit unions uniqueness in the financial services marketplace.
