American Heritage Credit Union (American Heritage) kicked off its 16th Annual Grand Illumination on Saturday, November 25th. Over 25,000 community members enjoyed the illumination of American Heritage’s main campus along with free holiday performances, a firework display, and a grand prize drawing for a 2024 Chevy Trax awarded to an American Heritage member.

At the kickoff event, families enjoyed a concert featuring the Ukrainian Children’s Choir Soloveiky, the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale, and the New Jersey Fifes and Drums. Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross lent a colonial flavor to the evening’s events as well. American Heritage’s 2023 Give Back Sweepstakes’ grand prize winner was selected from the six finalists and awarded a 2024 Chevy Trax, with runners-up awarded $1,000 each.

Attendees also donated approximately 2000lbs. in nonperishable food as a part of the 10th Annual Spirit of Giving Food Drive. The Kids-N-Hope Foundation also presented Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) with a check for $500,000 to continue supporting its Music Therapy Program through the upcoming year.

“We look forward to welcoming thousands of community members to our campus each year at our Grand Illumination event to kick-off the holiday season,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union and Chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. “We hope this event brings holiday cheer and excitement to our community and members all season long. Our Kids-N-Hope Foundation was also honored to present $500,000 to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to continue the wonderful work achieved through its Music Therapy Program.”

Each year, the American Heritage campus buildings and trees are illuminated, and multiple light displays are featured throughout the campus grounds. The entire community is welcomed back to visit the American Heritage campus through New Year’s Day to stroll the campus for free, enjoy the decorations, and take family photos. Entrances to the campus are on Red Lion Road or Jamison Road and free parking is available on site. Lights will shine daily beginning at dusk each night.
