15 Credit Unions Fight Hunger in June
During National Hunger Awareness Month in June, 15 credit unions local to Philadelphia hosted food drives and fundraisers to benefit Philabundance. On July 12, the credit unions delivered their donations of essential food items like cereal, canned vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, and canned tuna, which will support those in need across their nine-county service area in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
Together, the credit unions donated over 2,000 pounds of food and gave a collective donation of almost $21,000. The credit unions in participation included:
